The vision

The story and vision behind HallelujahMeet

A worldwide Christian prayer community where people can meet in prayer across countries, languages, cultures and church traditions.

A world united in prayer

The vision behind HallelujahMeet is to create a worldwide Christian prayer community where people can meet in prayer regardless of country, language, culture or church tradition.

Prayer knows no borders. One person may be alone in a difficult situation while someone elsewhere in the world is ready to pray. HallelujahMeet helps those people find one another.

You can share a prayer anonymously. Once published, it appears on the globe in real time as a warm light from the place where it was sent. Others can open the light, read the prayer and show that they are praying.

The person who shared it can see that someone took time to pray. A small light can become a visible sign of hope, care and fellowship.

The first prayer outside Norway

The day after HallelujahMeet launched, something happened that made a deep impression on me.

The app had not been promoted outside Norway. Yet I noticed a warm light on the globe in the middle of Africa. When I opened it, I saw that someone in Uganda had found HallelujahMeet, downloaded the app and shared a prayer for peace on Earth.

It was the first prayer shared in HallelujahMeet outside Norway.

Someone in Uganda had discovered the app independently and used it for exactly what it was created to do: share a prayer that others could see and join.

In that moment, the vision came alive. A light on the globe was no longer merely an app feature. It represented a real person, a real place and a real prayer.

The prayer from Uganda showed what HallelujahMeet can become: a worldwide community where people find one another in prayer across borders, languages and distance.

The distance between people grows smaller when we pray for one another.

A living map of prayer

The globe is the heart of HallelujahMeet. Its warm lights show people praying and being prayed for around the world.

Every light represents a person, a story and a need. As more people pray, the visible community grows. The globe becomes a living picture of the truth that nobody needs to stand alone in prayer.

Prayers deserve respect. People can therefore remain anonymous, while clear guidelines and moderation help protect the community. The aim is a safe place where people can share what they carry.

Jesus at the centre

HallelujahMeet is rooted in Christian faith, with Jesus Christ at the centre. It brings people together in prayer and makes it easier to pray for others in everyday life.

The name HallelujahMeet expresses this vision. Hallelujah means “praise the Lord”, while Meet is about coming together. It describes a place where people meet in faith, hope and prayer—with God and with one another.

HallelujahMeet is not intended to replace the church. It complements local Christian fellowship by helping people find churches, discover Christian gatherings and build stronger local connections.

Free for everyone

HallelujahMeet is free to use. Everyone can read and share prayers, pray for others and take part in the community without paying.

Those who wish to support the work may choose a voluntary subscription. It helps HallelujahMeet develop, reach more people and support the work of making the Bible available.

A subscription is never required to be a full member of the prayer community.

From subscriptions to Bibles and Bible work

We want to help more people gain access to the Bible and the Gospel.

Of the net proceeds from voluntary subscriptions, 50 percent goes to Bibles and Bible work, including possible cooperation with organisations involved in Bible translation, production and distribution.

Most of the remaining half is used for operation, continued development and outreach so HallelujahMeet can reach as many people as possible.

Net proceeds from voluntary subscriptions means the amount remaining after Apple, Google or other payment provider fees and directly related taxes and charges.

Any advertising income is used for the operation and promotion of HallelujahMeet.

We want to be open about how funds are used. Once the programme is operating, the website will show which organisations or Bible projects receive support, the amounts given and how the allocation was calculated.

A vision that can grow

HallelujahMeet begins with a simple idea: nobody should have to stand alone when they need prayer.

The vision is for people around the world to open the app and see that someone is praying. A light in Norway can meet a light in Uganda. A prayer in one language can be understood by a person speaking another. A need shared quietly can be met by a community.

If HallelujahMeet helps one person find hope, return to faith or experience that someone is praying, it already matters.

Together, we can let the world shine with prayer.

Pray together. Believe together. Never alone.
